Manage your internet quota wisely and save money

I'm busy, let me get straight to the point. Why subscribe to a 5GB data for 30 days package at RM48.00 when you can actually pay RM39.00? but I guess its how you use your data. This is how I use it:
2GB is sufficient for me to hotspot to 3 laptops in the house for the whole month. That is if all you do is browse for news, check your social media accounts and check emails... all the normal stuff.

But once in a while I need to download videos, update iPad apps or do some quick research on Youtube so I do not want to use the internet quota for that 30 days package... because the data topup is expensive; so on top of the 30 days quota, I subscribe to a 1GB One-Day-Pass for only RM3.00.

If I do this three time a month... I still spend cheaper than taking the 5GB while actually utilizing 5GB. the table below demonstrate the calculation of how I save.

Let me know how you manage your quota. I've got to go.

How to activate shutdown timer on your laptop

Have you had any experience....
transferring files from your Laptop to an external?

Have you ever had the above and....
had to leave the house while the process is still running?

Hi guys,

In order to save some space on my Laptop,
I do file cleaning every now and then.
I delete the files I won't be needing including....
pictures and documents and sort aside the file I wanna keep
(well, obviously).

Unless you're using USB 3.0 on both devices,
large file transfers is a b****.
My external is USB 3.0 but my Laptop is 2.0

But luckily,

Windows 7 is pretty good at handling large file transfers.
You don't need any special software such as...
TeraCopy and SuperCopier.
But if you do want to try it, read the comparison here

Here is my story,

Recently, I was on my bed working on my Laptop cleaning it up...
I performed a "cut and paste" to transfer files to my external.

The popup prompt showing the transfer process is running and...
estimated time to complete is 2 hours. (OK, I have no problem with that)

Suddenly, I got a call.
I had to leave the house.
Laptop will be unattended and I don't like the idea of wasting electricity.

So I remembered I read somewhere on the net
a trick this girl uses in situations alike.

Click on the START button
Type the letters "cmd" in the search box
Type "shutdown /s /t 10800"
and then I hit "Enter" and left the house.

What I just did was...
telling the Laptop to automatically shutdown...
with a countdown from Ten Thousand Eight Hundred seconds.
(that is 10800 seconds = 300 minutes = 5 hours)

Bill Gates would probably do the same thing.

Enhance Your Wifi Signal at Home

Hi guys,

Woke up pretty late today, I didn't get to sleep last night and only went to bed after 5am. In the mood to write something while still in bed but the wifi signal is only showing two bars from my room. Two bars is sufficient but why stop at two when you can get full.... right!! more reason to write if not anything else.
