Finding Balance in a Fast-Paced World

We often hear that life moves faster today than it ever has before. With technology advancing at lightning speed, responsibilities piling up, and endless notifications buzzing on our phones, it’s no wonder many of us feel stretched thin. Yet, amid all this hustle, balance is not only possible—it’s necessary.

Balance doesn’t mean splitting time equally between work, family, and personal care. Instead, it’s about learning to give the right energy to the right place at the right time. Some days, work will demand more of you. Other days, your family or even your own wellbeing must take priority. Recognizing this ebb and flow keeps us grounded.

A simple way to begin is by asking yourself at the end of each day: *Did I do at least one thing today that made me better?* That improvement might come from learning something new, helping someone, resting your body, or even laughing with friends. Small steps toward balance, repeated daily, create long-term stability.

As we move forward, let’s remember: success is not only about how much we achieve, but also about how well we live. True balance is not a destination but a rhythm we choose to follow.

My father passed away

This picture was taken in Batu Arang, a place he frequent when he was young.

My father passed away just a few weeks ago. The exact date doesn't really register in my mind. I have lost my father. This is my first experience dealing with the death of a family member... and I am not sure whether I am doing it right. Grief has yet to be.

Papa, nothing I write here will sum up to how much I appreciate all the life lessons you had taught me. No words that can match how I feel. You will always be my hero.

Innalillahi wa inna illahi rojiun.
